how can you get involved with reset?
there are many ways to get plugged in!
entry-level mentoring
Entry Level Mentors will be able to assist with our teens on probation in the community. This includes events such as Teen Night, Christmas, Serve Days and assisting with giving teens ride to/from these events if needed. Entry Level Mentors can be trusted confidants for our community teens, offering them wisdom and guidance as they complete their probation and take their next best steps to adulthood.

advanced mentoring
The dictionary defines a mentor as a trusted counselor or guide. At Reset, we take it a step further. Our mentors provide stability, wisdom and a light in an otherwise dark world. Relational one on one mentoring requires you to build trust in a life where trust has been destroyed. It requires patience and the ability to love like Jesus, seeing beyond the dysfunction into the destiny. Our Advanced Mentors will be working with the teens in the CORE Program which means you can attend events such as Sunday Fun Day and any other life skills taking place at the Juvenile Justice Facility. Advanced Mentors work one on one with their assigned CORE teen and follow them back into the community after they are released from incarceration to help them take their next best step to RESET their lives.

general volunteer
Volunteers are the backbone to everything we do at Reset Mentoring! These amazing people help with things such as cooking, coming up with creative activity plans, and so much more. While volunteers may not all become one on one mentors, all volunteers having ANY contact with youth MUST be FBI background checked and approved before any contact will be allowed.
Time involvement and commitment can vary depending on the season you're in and the availability of Reset activities. If you are not certified as a one on one mentor, our Reset team will do our very best to keep you engaged and involved in our monthly events.
